Bright and colorful jewelry I make by hand in my home studio

Hi and welcome to my online store.

I have had a long, rewarding career in the printing industry but always needed to express my creativity through my own artwork. After school - I hold a degree in Studio Art from CUNY's Hunter College -, I experimented with a number of different media. Today, I paint on silk and watercolor, and make jewelry.

Jewelry making began after my first trip to Bancroft, Canada, to explore the local abandoned mines, famous for their extreme variety of minerals. My husband and I did some serious digging and chiseling, including at the rock farm of the Princess Sodalite Mine mineral store which is very novice-friendly. The visit to the local mineral show completed my seduction.

I currently buy some of my beads on-line from Fire Mountain but love to shop at mineral shows (some great bargains) and in Venice when we visit my husband's family in Italy. I am very fond of knit jewelry done with artist wire, original Murano glass and my own clay beads.
